Pulse-Bac® Model 550

LiftQuick

The Lift-Quick handle is a new option for all 500 Series models. This thick, center weighted, powder coated steel handle provides a strong grip and even weight distribution. A real benefit when the vacuum is lifted, making loading and unloading from vehicles like vans & pick-up trucks easier.

Pulse-Bac model 550 is a HEPA vacuum with a filter fractional efficiency rating of 99.97% @ .3 micron at a CFM flow rate up to 150 CFM . The 550 model comes standard with Pulse-Bac® Automatic Pulse-Clean Technology, complying with the new 2016 OSHA Silica Standard that requires a “filter cleaning mechanism” when working with materials that contain Silica. (Note: Both standards contained in the final rule take effect on June 23, 2016., after which industries have one to five years to comply with most requirements, For Construction – compliance date is June 23, 2017, one year after the effective date.)

Other features include our Cyclonic Debris Management System, HEPA Filters and a 15’ x 1 ½” crush proof self locking vacuum hose. An optional Automatic Tool Start and a 3 Caster Dolly are also available.

The 550 can be used for general cleanup, vacuuming carpets and hard surfaces or capturing dust and debris generated by handheld power tools and surface preparation equipment. Our revolutionary design in vacuum filtration automatically flushes the filters clear while you work, using only ambient air and vacuum. This patented technology stops the filters from facing with dust or debris and clogging during operation. Maintain peak performance with NO BLOWERS, SHAKERS, COMPRESSORS or BUTTONS to push. Just turn it on and go to work, Pulse-Bac® technology does the rest.

-The 550 model is Compliant with O.S.H.A. 2016 Silica Rules for Vacuums.

HEPA vs. HEPA Certified
What’s the Difference?

Many vacuums have a HEPA label, so what separates them from those that are labeled HEPA Certified? The basic answer is HEPA Certified vacuums are independently tested to meet HEPA standards, where non-certified vacuums have not been independently tested.

While HEPA standards can vary, in North America it typically refers to 99.97% filtration of particles down to 0.3 microns in size. We sent our 550H HEPA Certified vacuum to be tested by a 3rd party lab to ensure it provided this level of filtration. This testing showed that our unit actually exceeded the standard, filtering 99.99% of dust @ 0.3 microns. We achieve this with two stage filtration, first filtering air as it comes into the unit and second filtering the exhaust air. The exhaust filter insures that no hazardous materials can make it out of the vacuum, no matter the condition of the 1st stage filters. Pulse-Bac® is so serious about making sure your health is protected and you stay in compliance with regulations that each of our specially made HEPA exhaust filters are INDIVIDUALLY TESTED.

Filtration-Ill

It’s also important to know that if your work involves lead paint removal & falls under the EPA’s RRP rule, this is what the EPA says about HEPA vacuums:

“The vacuum cleaner must be designed so that all the air drawn into the machine is expelled through the HEPA filter … ”

“EPA also recommends that renovation firms ask the manufacturer or retailer whether the machine has been tested…“
(Source www.epa.gov – see page 62)

MANY VACUUMS MAY CLAIM TO WORK FOR RRP, BUT AT PULSE-BAC WE HAVE THE 3RD PARTY TESTING TO PROVE IT.

Lifetime Service & Support

Pulse-Bac vacuums are famous for their longevity and reliability. In fact, many of our very early models like the LD, HD, 1300 & 2300 vacuums, now over a decade old, are still serving their owners faithfully every day. However even the best built machine needs maintenance from time to time. Especially when subjected to the tough conditions in which many Pulse-Bac® vacuums are used.

That’s why all Pulse-Bac vacuums include FREE Lifetime Service & Support. This covers the cost of in-house labor and provides the owner with free phone or internet support for life. Coverage starts from the moment the vacuum leaves the factory and continues for the lifetime of the machine, no matter how many owners it may have. So if your vacuum is down we’re with you until you’re back up and running and you’ll never see a bill for labor or support, unlike other brands that charge labor and service fee’s when the warranty is up. This is just another way that Pulse-Bac has your back.
